Hohete Hendrix, D.M.D., M.S.D.
Dr. Hohete Hendrix is both excited and honored to serve the Greensburg community. Dr. Hendrix was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she lived for eight years before her family moved to the southern Indiana area, where she lived the next nine years before attending college at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. After graduating as an Honors Division scholar, Dr. Hendrix was immediately matriculated to Indiana University School of Medicine, where she spent a year, discovering that perhaps her true calling might lie elsewhere. After spending time volunteering chair side at the dental school at the University of Kentucky, where her family had moved after she attended college, Dr. Hendrix grew more and more fascinated with the dental field, and decided to apply to dental school. She was immediately accepted to the University of Louisville, where she graduated in 2004, obtaining honors such as the Oral and Maxillofacial Award in Pathology, as well as the Periodontal Student Award. During dental school, Dr. Hendrix found that she had a growing love of surgery, and decided to apply to specialty programs in Periodontics, which specialize in technique sensitive surgeries involving implant placement, sinus elevations, soft tissue surgeries, and bone augmentations. She spent three years at Case Western Reserve University, where she received a certificate in Periodontics as well as a masters degree in 2007.
However, what Dr. Hendrix learned throughout her residency program was that although she loved and valued the surgical training she obtained, she never lost her passion for general dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Hendrix decided to meld her surgical training with her dental training to become a dentist that could provide expanded services to her patients. Dr. Hendrix loves and enjoys continuing education, and is always motivated to learn something new. She loves diversifying her skill set and knowing that every day provides a new patient with new needs that she can help. She sees herself as an educator as well as a provider and is willing to put her patients at ease by explaining procedures fully and thoroughly. She is honest and forthright, and her aim is to win your trust for life.
Finally, Dr. Hendrix enjoys her time with her family as much as she enjoys dentistry. She loves cooking, exercising, traveling, singing, reading, and spending time with her husband Lenny and her adorable English Bulldog, Buttercup Hendrix. She looks forward to meeting you.
